"My purpose is to give you the permission to play - to allow you to discover and free the creative visionary you have within - and experience what might be possible." -- Alexandra Sagerman
For more than two decades, Alexandra Sagerman has been dedicated to uncovering the tools that help individuals tap into the magic and power of public presentation. As President of The Speaking Power Method, she uses her background in acting, improvisation and writing to help business professionals develop powerful messages and charismatic delivery skills. Through one-on-one consulting, seminars and workshops, Alexandra helps clients identify and craft meaningful stories that allow them to connect with and move their audiences.
A graduate of Stanford University and a professional actress, Alexandra studied with the legendary acting teacher, Uta Hagen. She went on to receive her Masters Degree from the New York University Graduate Acting Program, a conservatory program accepting no more than 18 actors per year out of 2,000 applicants. While at NYU, Alexandra studied alongside now well-known actors such as Camryn Manheim (Emmy Award winning actress for the TV series, "The Practice") and Marcia Gay Harden (Academy Award winning actress for the movie, "Pollock"). With an extensive background in improvisation and sketch comedy, Alexandra also co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced the successful sketch comedy show, "El Barrio USA," which ran for over three years at the Village Gate and the famous Caroline's Comedy Club in New York City.
As an Adjunct Professor at both Borough of Manhattan Community College and Baruch College in New York, Alexandra honed the techniques that form the foundation of The Speaking Power Method. A member of The National Speakers Association, Alexandra is a Director on the Board of Directors for the Greater Los Angeles Chapter and she is the Vice President. She also runs the Chapter's "Speaker's Showcase".
"You have the unique ability to bring out the best in people ...Your insight and expertise gave me the tools to give my speech just the punch I was looking for...As a result, I presented my new material to a recent client with great success. Your talents would be valuable to any speaker wanting to improve their craft." Jodi Walker, Success Alliances
